摘要: Two emergence trap designs were tested in Mono Lake, California, to measure situ hatching of Artemia monica cysts on the lake bottom. One design incorporated a removable sample bottle; other had catch tube which was pumped from surface. Both traps rested bottom and narrow gap between collecting funnel flange allow chemical conditions within be similar those outside. This open during April May but, because some animals entered outside area enclosed by trap, covered with 400 µm or 800 screen June July. The two types without screens sampled station oxic water 7 m deep similarly 1985. Mean daily rates 1985 ranged 720 25 340 shrimp m-2 day-1. In contrast, mean same period at anoxic 21 3 138 July shallow lower than spring, usually less 1000
