摘要: In broad terms, studies in argument can be ranged on a continuum between formal ‘internal’ notions of (e.g. ‘evidence supporting conclusion’), to as action aimed at belief and behaviour within communicative situations. A number divisions discerned these studies. The first stems from early Greek thought results in, the one hand, philosophical tradition which language is used transparently pursuit truth and, other, rhetorical concerned with style arrangement for production effects. second roughly division ‘nature nurture’: nature view, various forms generally held by psychologists, that ability argue acquired developmentally; whilst nurturers (generally educationalists) are way may developed through teaching learning strategies (see review Costello).
