摘要: The shear force value is one of the major traits that determine meat quality. In present study, we performed QTL analysis for chicken breast muscle at 7 wk age using 545 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers developed via restriction-site associated DNA sequencing (RAD-seq). An F2 resource family was generated by mating Oh-Shamo, a native Japanese breed, and White Plymouth Rock breed. A total 215 birds were produced. Simple interval mapping revealed significant main-effect between 6.28 8.10 Mb SNPs on chromosome Z with logarithm odds score 5.53 genome-wide 5% level. At this QTL, confidence interval, phenotypic variance explained, additive effect 26 cM, 12.24%, -0.31 in males -0.34 females, respectively. No epistatic interaction effects detected. To our knowledge, first report affecting muscle, SNP derived from RAD-seq.
