摘要: This paper provides an overview of the progress Ifremer has made recently in fisheries acoustics and study small pelagic fish by: i) pushing observation frontiers using a range platforms including autonomous un- derwater vehicle, AUV, ii) developing measuring instruments methods iii) studying distributions. Presently, information from several frequencies single-beam echosounders is routinely collected together with data ME70 multibeam echosounder. For onboard acquisition control HERMES software was developed. The new MOVIES 3D includes modules for simultaneous realistic visualisation post-processing such as bottom detection, school extraction calculation descriptors integration all acoustic data. Several analysis are being developed some initial results presented. Finally, on spatial distribution schools Bay Biscay illustrate role that can play, already playing, implementation ecosystem approach to fisheries.
