Permanent magnet power inductor with EE core for switching power converters

摘要: This paper presents a 14mm×7mm×5mm EE core ∼760nH power inductor (PI) with permanent magnet (EE-PMPI). By using small piece of the NdFeB magnet, saturation current EE-PMPI is doubled while maintaining same footprint size and inductance value. 3-D physical model simulation results obtained from ANSYS®/Maxwell® are used to illustrate visualize doubling EE-PMPI. Results show that compared conventional PI almost (∼730nH), increased 15A 30A.
