摘要: Investigation was made to compare some biological characteristics relevant ecotoxicity testing among six cladoceran species, including Daphnia magna, carinata, pulex, Ceriodaphnia quadrangular, Bosmina longirostris, and Simocephalus vetulus. The results show that D. carinata had advantages over other species for being used as a test organism, particularly ecotoxicological assessment of aquatic environments in tropical subtropical areas. similar body size total number offspring per female magna. However, more sensitive the reference toxicant much shorter reproduction cycle than similarity C. S. vetulus B. longirostris terms sensitivity length cycle. larger produced any longirostris. Among investigated cladocerans, only neonates (2- 4-day-old) exhibited phototaxis sufficiently remarkable. low among-generation variation index (Ip) close relationship between Ip concentration ISO standard (K2Cr2O7) appears suggest can be an excellent endpoint testing.
