Scattering by an Infinite Cylinder Arbitrarily Illuminated with a Couple of Gaussian Beams

摘要: An expansion of the incident Gaussian beam in terms cylindrical vector wave functions natural to an infinite cylinder arbitrary orientation is presented. With such expansion, problem interaction between a couple beams and studied framework generalized Lorenz-Mie theory. As example, for case tightly focused propagating perpendicularly axis, scattering characteristics are described detail, numerical results normalized differential cross section evaluated.
