摘要: Abstract Adult Ixodes ricinus ticks were collected from Pomerania province, northern Poland, to determine the presence of infection with agents human granulocytic ehrlichiosis (HGE) and Lyme borreliosis by using polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Of 424 19.2% 11.6% contained ehrlichiae spirochetes, respectively. Frequency single HGE agent was 63/424 while frequency Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato 28/424. As many as 21/424 (5%) both pathogens. This finding supports suggestions that B. s. 1. perpetuate in same foci frequently co-infect tick vector thereby increasing risk humans acquiring mixed infection.
