摘要: A simulation of sequential breast pathology images is proposed, as a prerequisite for the development virtual clinical trials (VCTs) with radiology-pathology (rad-path) correlation. The rad-path correlation cancer findings performed clinically to confirm concordance and increase confidence in diagnoses. VCTs have been used optimization imaging systems, based upon computer anatomy, modalities, image interpretation. Today, are optimize at “radiology” spatial scale, by simulating tissue structures seen radiological images, namely, skin, adipose or dense compartments, fibrous ligaments, major ducts blood vessels. We extended this microscopic (i.e., “pathology”) allow Previously, we developed manual regions corresponding small region selected within phantom simulated scale. In paper, describe an automated adipocytes, epithelial myoepithelial cells, collagen fibers, fibroblasts. Adipocytes recursive partitioning. Epithelial cells radially around ductal acinar lumen. Fibers fibroblasts analogy electrostatic field. Our approach models volumetric distributions various tissues, which allows inter-slice distances. proposed method has evaluated pathologist medical physicists. effect approaches on visual appearance evaluated.
