A Novel Gas Sensor Based on MgSb2O6 Nanorods to Indicate Variations in Carbon Monoxide and Propane Concentrations

摘要: Bystromite (MgSb2O6) nanorods were prepared using a colloidal method in the presence of ethylenediamine, after calcination step at 800 °C static air. From X-ray powder diffraction analyses, trirutile-type structure with lattice parameters = 4.64 A and c 9.25 space group P42/mnm was identified. Using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), microrods sizes from 0.2 to 1.6 μm observed. Transmission (TEM) analyses revealed that had length ~86 nm diameter ~23.8 nm. The gas-sensing properties these nanostructures tested pellets elaborated powders MgSb2O6 oxide (calcined °C) temperatures 23, 150, 200, 250 300 °C. exposed different concentrations carbon monoxide (CO) propane (C3H8) temperatures. results showed possess excellent stability high sensitivity atmospheres.
