摘要: One hundred and fifty years after the discovery of Neanderthals, it is held that this morphologically genetically distinct human species does not differ from modern Homo sapiens in its craniofacial ontogenetic trajectory early post-natal period. This striking given evident morphological differences between these species, since implies all major are established by period carried into adulthood through identical trajectories, despite extent to which mechanical spatial factors thought influence ontogeny. Here, we present statistical analyses demonstrating spatio-temporal processes responsible for transformations differ. The findings emphasize pre-natal as well ontogeny both important establishing cranial adult Neanderthals humans.
