摘要: The spectral window at L-band (1.400 - 1.427 GHz) is reserved for passive microwave remote sensing. This band well-suited to retrieve soil moisture and ocean salinity due emissivity of seawater decreases with salinity, respectively, affecting radiation the Earth's surface. Nowadays, there are two space missions devoted Earth observation radiometers on-board: SMOS mission from ESA Aquarius/SAC-D NASA CONAE. Both providing first TB measurements surface 1.413 GHz. Thus, it a great opportunity compare Aquarius TBs verify continuity consistency data. inter-comparison key requirement needed use data both meteorological, hydrological climatological studies on long term.
