摘要: Separation and purification operations determine to a large extent the cost of biochemical processing rather than bioconversion itself. A number separation processes can be used which (classical) filtration, centrifugation, extraction, adsorption, chromatography, precipitation, electrophoresis, crystallisation membrane filtration are most important ones. The application in biotechnology is rapidly growing. Initially, mainly pressure driven like microfiltration, ultrafiltration reverse osmosis were applied. However, new such as pervaporation liquid membranes offer possibilities product recovery. In addition, combination fermentation bioreactor leads concepts bioengineering.
