摘要: Abstract Electricity generation in Nigeria has experienced major setbacks despite her abundant resources that could earn energy independence. In this paper, solar thermal for concentrating power (CSP) electricity are evaluated as means of achieving availability the country short, medium and long term programmes. Despite resource is available which comparably higher than those most operational CSP sites Europe America, there no existing plant country. It observed lack immediate plans to achieve (in near term) not a ‘lack policy’ issue, rather strong political will implement renewable policies. Cost technology, challenges fossil fuel price subsidy among leading capable discouraging investors sector. However, government regulations help resolve these. suggested oil gas companies should contribute towards clean development through carbon pay back programme way increasing chances establishing Nigeria.
