A rapid prototyping tool for load and source emulation in a microgrid test laboratory

摘要: This paper details the development of a microgrid laboratory test rig capable emulating linear and non-linear loads as well dynamically varying electrical machinery such wind turbine generators, flywheel energy storage systems other motor/generator equipment. test-rig is comprised two 15 kW dc-ac converters connected in back-to-back configuration together with rapid control prototyping platform utilising Linux PC to inverters using Simulink RealTime Workshop allowing for fast implementation testing inverter controls. A vector proportional integral (VPI) scheme, PI controller parallel resonant (PR) controllers, was designed implemented synchronous dq frame allow appropriate regulation desired currents mitigation harmonic distortion from external sources. Experimental tests are presented verify operation emulation system under load emulator motoring mode, results being verified through comparison simulation hand calculations.
