摘要: The minimisation of water consumption in waste-to-energy (WtE) plants is an outstanding issue, especially those regions where supply critical and withdrawals come from municipal waterworks. Among the various possible solutions, most general, simple effective one reuse process water. This paper discusses effectiveness two different options Italian WtE plant, starting analytical characterisation flow-rate measurement fresh flows derived each utility internal to plant (e.g. cooling, bottom ash quenching, flue gas wet scrubbing). census allowed identifying direct connections that optimise scheme, avoiding additional treatments. effluent physical-chemical wastewater treatment (WWTP), located was considered not adequate be directly reused because deposition mineral salts clogging potential associated residual suspended solids. Nevertheless, obtain high reduction consumption, reverse osmosis should installed remove non-metallic ions (Cl(-), SO4(2-)) organic inorganic pollutants. Two efficient solutions were identified. first, a scheme based on cascade configuration, 45% (from 1.81 0.99m(3)tMSW(-1), MSW: Municipal Solid Waste) without specific second solution, configuration with recycle process, 74% 0.46m(3)tMSW(-1)). results present work show it reduce turn production, reducing at same time operating cost plant.
