摘要: The local dispersal of polyphagous, mobile insects within agricultural systems impacts pest management. In the mid-Atlantic region United States, stink bugs, especially invasive Halyomorpha halys (Stal 1855), contribute to economic losses across a range cropping systems. Here, we characterized density bugs along field edges corn and soybean at different study sites. Specifically, examined influence adjacent managed natural habitats on in fields distances transects from edge. We also quantified damage grain, pods seeds, measured yield relation observed bug densities Highest was limited edge both fields. Fields wooded, crop building harbored higher than those open habitats. Damage kernels seeds increased with plots highest edges. Stink negatively associated per plant soybean. spatial pattern soybeans, significant effects, suggests use management strategies for placement landscape, as well spatially targeted suppression
