摘要: Aim To determine the negative predictive value of 16 channel multisection computed tomography angiography (CTA) for detecting aneurysms in spontaneous subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH), using digital subtraction (DSA) as reference standard. Materials and methods The prospectively collected cerebral angiogram database Department Neuroradiology, Atkinson Morley Regional Neuroscience Centre was used to identify 200 consecutive patients who had undergone DSA SAH. Of these, 176 CTA prior DSA. Clinical details radiology reports were correlated images positive investigations reviewed. Results showed one or more 105 (60%) patients. These correctly reported on 100. 74 these five false detected In CTA/DSA group, 11 (16%) classical perimesencephalic clinical syndrome blood distribution. There two positives at CTA. For ruptured aneurysms, 95.2% sensitivity, 97.2% specificity, 98.1% value, 93.2% value. Conclusion sensitivity remains imperfect. Continued use is recommended most with a after acute Confirmation result may not be routinely required syndrome.
