Prevalence, etiology, and types of dental trauma in children and adolescents: systematic review and meta-analysis

摘要: BACKGROUND: Dental traumas are common among children and adolescents in many societies posing health social problems. The aim of this study was to conduct a systematic review meta-analysis on prevalence, etiology, types, other epidemiologic aspects dental trauma (0-18 years old). METHODS: In meta-analytical review, data were collected searching for key words including traumatic injuries, trauma, injury, tooth traumatized teeth, dentoalveolar oral epidemiology, incidence, occurrence, child*, adolescence the following databases: Scopus, CINAHL, Science Direct, PubMed Google scholar. RESULTS: From total 3197 articles, 44 completely relevant papers included study. prevalence variable based geographical area estimated 17.5% population, with higher boys.
