摘要: Abstract Purified plant nutraceuticals afzelin and quercetrin from an edible plant- Crotolaria tetragona was employed for the fabrication of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) by a sunlight mediated process. From among panel strains tested, AgNPs displayed potent bacteriostatic bactericidal effect against P. aeruginosa S. Typhi. Time kill studies revealed green synthesized comparable with chemically Antibiofilm potential showed that they were highly effective at sub MIC concentrations in causing 50% biofilm inhibition food borne pathogen Typhi implying antibiofilm is independent antibacterial effect, which evidenced fluorescent imaging SEM imaging. Mechanistic reduced cell surface hydrophobicity, decreased adherence, loss membrane contributed to afzelin/quercetrin AgNPs. Green also relatively less toxic more curtailing bioburden infected zebrafish by > 3 log fold. Ability NPs mitigate planktonic mode growth vitro vivo curtail formation demonstrates its growth.
