摘要: The presence or absence of horns in Bos taurus is thought to be under the genetic control autosomal polled locus, characterized by two alleles: P dominant over p, and causing hornless phenotype. We have demonstrated linkage between locus microsatellite markers, GMPOLL–1 GMPOLL–2, assigned corresponding group bovine chromosome 1. This confirms existence postulated hypothesized inheritance pattern. It will allow marker assisted selection for polledness trait breeding programs a first step towards positional cloning molecular study gene that has been subjected both natural artificial selection.
