Effect of phosphorus addition on nutrient removal from wastewater with the cyanobacterium Phormidium bohneri

摘要: Abstract The growth and inorganic nutrient removal capacity of the cyanobacterium Phormidium bohneri on domestic wastewater were investigated in outdoor 24-l triangular bioreactors with or without presence added phosphate. While addition monopotassium phosphate did result up to 56% more biomass production had an influence kinetics nutrients, it not significantly affect total time taken for complete these nutrients. In all cases, nitrogen (ammonium nitrate) removed after 50 75 h growth, respectively. Biomass productivities 23–57 mg d.m. l −1 day , combined rates ammonium 20 indicated that P. has a good potential treatment. phosphate, 40 became erratic, peaks appearing at beginning daylight.
