摘要: Hard to heal wounds are painful and the patient has stand with them for a long time, also these an economical burden health care systems. One important factor that may interrupt healing of is contamination bacterial they can cause infections. Today, there numerous silver releasing dressings on market have effect against wide range over multiple days. The available contain different amounts release kinetics. aim this Master thesis find out how profile influences antibacterial effect, if one more preferable another it valid both in logarithmically stationary growth phase. Two wound pathogens, Staphylococcus aureus Pseudomonas aeruginosa , either log- (~10 6 CFU/mL) or stationary- phase (10 8 -10 9 were cultured simulated fluid. Silver sulfate solutions added suspension, suspensions incubated 24 h viable count determined by plate counts method. For log-phase bacteria, Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC)and Bactericidal (MBC) ppm 32 S.aureus 6.5 about 7 P. respectively. stationary-phase bacteria MBC's found be above 987 65 S. MIC MBC values appropriate concentrations simulate profiles. was vortex after addition increased significantly. Three profiles (corresponding MIC, boost, linear) adding every second hour (0, 2, 4 h)for six hours then further total. There no significant difference between three when exposed. In contrast, linear had 3 3.5 log reductions less respectively, compared corresponding measurements.
