摘要: The octcoral Sarcophyton glaucum has a wide IndoPaci¢c distribution and is known for its diverse content of natural products. aim the current study was to establish protocol rearing miniature cuttings S. in closed seawater system. In order determine optimal conditions rearing, survival, average dry weight, percentage organic weight development were monitored under diierent temperature, light, salinity feeding regimes. At 261C, highest obtained, at 201C, weight. increased with light intensity, while 35^ 130 m Em 2 s 1 , survival high. Salinity did not aiect any colonies’ features. Feeding intervals 7 30 days yielded better result than days. A comparison colonies derived from system reared £ow-through system, those sea ¢eld-collected revealed importance environmental determining features colonies. emphasizes advantages controlling needed targeted farming.
