摘要: Abstract The intricately interwoven role of detailed autobiographical memory in our daily lives and imaginative envisioning the future is increasingly recognized. But how detail-rich nature best assessed and, particular, can possible aging-related differences specificity be most effectively evaluated? This study examined whether a modified interview, involving fewer time-matched events for older younger adults, yielded age-related outcomes similar to those that have been previously reported. As earlier studies, modest changes recall were observed, yet largest robust effect both age groups was substantial proportion specific details retrieved. Both rated recent memories as significantly less important emotional than more temporally distant events. Our findings counter conceptions adults’ invariably episodically rich adults.
