摘要: Abstract At the Low-Energy Branch (LEB) of Super-FRS at FAIR, projectile and fission fragments will be produced relativistic energies, separated in-flight, energy-bunched, slowed down thermalized in a cryogenic stopping cell (CSC) filled with ultra-pure He gas. The are extracted from using combination DC RF electric fields gas flow. A prototype CSC for LEB has been developed successfully commissioned FRS Ion Catcher GSI. Ionization buffer atoms during energetic ions creates region high space charge cell. decreases extraction efficiency cells since amount distorts applied drag fields. Thus understanding effects is great importance to make full use yields future RIB facilities such as FAIR. For this purpose detailed study was performed experiments simulations. dependence efficiency, time temporal ion profile on intensity impinging beam field strength studied two different 238 U 1000 MeV/u FRS. Good agreement between simulations found.
