摘要: We re-examine the two reasons for conservative 1-second Minimum TCP-RTO to protect against spurious timeouts: i) OS clock granularity and ii) Delayed ACKs. find that reason (i) is canceled in modern OSs; we carefully design a mechanism deal with (ii). Simulation results show next generation's high-speed, wireless-access networks, should not be limited by fixed, lower bound.
