摘要: Liaohe River has received significant attention in the northeast region and even entire country. As part of a recently completed water quality assessment, series column sediment toxicity tests was performed throughout watershed. In current study, we subjected sediments from to identification evaluation manipulations for chronic with midge (Chironomus riparius), survival as end point. Phase I, were treated zeolite, cation-exchange resin, powdered coconut charcoal. Results confirmed that ammonia compounds major contaminants terms toxicity, although toxic effects metals also concern at least three sites. II identification, chemical analysis provided strong evidence Cd are probable causes sediments, without influence ammonia. Temporally, is responsible selected sediments.
