摘要: Abstract Objectives Dysregulation of the neuroendocrine system including dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), sulfate (DHEA-S), and pregnenolone may play a role in pathophysiology bipolar II disorder (BP-II). The aims current study are to determine (a) differences DHEA, DHEA-S patients with BP-II controls; (b) correlation levels above hormones, cognitive function, clinical symptoms. Methods Patients diagnosed healthy controls were recruited from psychiatric department. Blood samples collected measure all participants, followed by assessment function using Brief Assessment Cognition Affective Disorders (BACA). Results A total 32 30 control subjects recruited. group was found significantly elder age, fewer years education, lower BACA composite scores compared controls. level associated performance when controlling for gender, education having (P = 0.018). correlated mania score (r = − 0.498, P = 0.010). Conclusion Our findings support that serum be biomarker representing manic symptoms performance.
