摘要: The wavefunctions and energy levels of the low-lying spectrum neutral calcium atom are computed using configuration interaction method. Hamiltonian for two valence electrons is modified by addition a semi-empirical polarization potential. inclusion potential results in theoretical much closer agreement with experiment. largest discrepancy between experimental energies (relative to Ca2+ limit) smaller than 0.1 eV. Oscillator strengths all possible dipole transitions found be better accord experiment that previous calculations. Lifetimes also compared those where lifetime data exists.
