摘要: Abstract Patterns of synaptic connectivity are remarkably precise and complex. Single-cell RNA sequencing has revealed a vast transcriptional diversity neurons. Nevertheless, clear logic underlying the control neuronal yet to emerge. Here, we focused on Drosophila T4/T5 neurons, class closely related subtypes with different wiring patterns. Eight neurons defined by combinations two patterns dendritic inputs four axonal outputs. profiling during development distinct programs defining each dendrite axon pattern. These were expression few transcription factors cell surface proteins. Gain loss function studies provide evidence for independent features. We propose that modular features assembled in generate diverse connectivity.
