摘要: Identification of craniofacial landmarks, particularly condylar anatomy, on the lateral cephalometric radiograph is erratic. The accuracy recognition critical for proper diagnosis malocclusion and assessing growth orthodontic treatment. aim this study was to evaluate identification condylion other landmarks commonly used, or thought be easily identifiable. A cephalograph taken each 34 adult subjects. Five examiners, three orthodontists, a dental radiologist second-year resident rated condyle, along with sella (S), nasion (Na), point (A), infradentale (I), pogonion (Pog) menton (Me) as identifiable, non-identifiable interpreted. In addition, distances between several these were measured. left subject less magnification than right condyle because it closer film, more identifiable which had highest rating non-identifiable. Among least Pog Me most. Correlation coefficients measurements (I-Me) greater involving (S-A). Interestingly, linear variable corresponding landmarks. These findings corroborate previous conclusions that clearly (and amount interpreted) should used evaluation dentofacial relationships. They also suggest, average, precision in landmark research purposes routine clinical cephalomteric measurements, serve only guide diagnosis.
