摘要: We investigate the phase behavior of a two-dimensional suspension charge stabilized polystyrene spheres in presence one-dimensional periodic light field. With increasing intensity we observe liquid-solid followed by solid-liquid transition which are known as laser-induced freezing and melting, respectively. Here report on measurements where, addition to intensity, single particle density was also systematically varied. As result, obtain for first time full thermodynamic information about system allows comparison with numerical predictions other authors.
