Angle-Closure Glaucoma: Surgical Management of Acute Angle-Closure Glaucoma

摘要: The initial treatment for acute primary angle-closure aims to reduce the intraocular pressure (IOP) as rapidly possible relieve symptoms and prevent further ocular tissue damage. Traditionally, IOP is lowered by topical or systemic hypotensive medications, which often will break attack, then pupillary block relieved laser peripheral iridotomy (LPI). A number of groups across world have described other procedures an attack angle-closure, including argon iridoplasty, immediate anterior chamber paracentesis, early cataract lens extraction phacoemulsification [1–12]. While these can work they not been widely adopted due potential complications fact that may resolve problem (except in case extraction).
