摘要: Given reliable statistical evidence, calculations of quantitative values risk may be attempted. Novel technologies however are, by their nature, characterised a lack appropriate historical data which creates difficulties for conventional approaches to assessment. Numerical assessments convey spurious validity and precision can dangerously misleading. Here we describe explain the psychological rationale decision support system called StAR that utilises information where appropriate, but is also able use qualitative in form arguments against presence risk. The user presented with summary statement risk, together underlie this Furthermore, search beyond these top-level order discover more about available evidence. We argue approach well-suited way people naturally reason decisions, show how has been implemented domain toxicological
