摘要: Abstract Extensive magmatism along convergent margin settings marks the late Neoarchean tectonics in northern segment of Southern Granulite Terrane (SGT) Peninsular India. Here we investigate a suite magmatic rocks (tonalite–trondhjemite–granodiorite [TTG], charnockite and amphibolite) together with accreted banded iron formation (BIF) from western Nilgiri Block. The petrologic features these including presence primary amphiboles all cases suggest crystallization calc-alkaline magmas, typical those derived slab melting. zircon grains rock types investigated this study show clear well-crystallized prismatic form, oscillatory zoning high Th/U values. Zircons two TTG gneiss samples identical 207 Pb/ 206 Pb mean ages 2521 ± 13 Ma 2522 ± 17 Ma. Those amphibolites display 2590 ± 13 Ma 2470 ± 17 Ma, cores some preserving 2.6 Ga ages. Zircon yield age 2601 ± 25 Ma whereas single grain BIF shows 2493 ± 17 Ma. data converge to indicate between ca. 2.6 2.5 Ga. Lu–Hf isotope on zircons positive eHf ( t ) values ranging 2.3 9.3. remarkably consistent magma derivation juvenile components, no significant crustal participation. T DM C fall 2674 2815 Ma, oldest at 2913 Ma, suggesting Meso- components source.
