From Parson to Professional: The Changing Ministry of the Anglican Clergy in Staffordshire, 1830-1960

摘要: From 1830 to 1960 the parish ministry of clergy Church England underwent a transformation, which was expressed in gradual abandonment parson model and adoption professional model. Staffordshire provides good case-study area because its wide variety urban rural parishes where this development can be assessed. Amongst many causes change, population size sources clerical funding are considered crucially important. The evidence suggests that exceeded 2000 people worshiping community became main provider financial support, increasingly difficult operate. Out necessity, sometimes subconsciously, developed with significant features, even though continued promoted as ideal. There narrowing remit within their local communities they were less involved influential. If consequence incarnational aspect has been eroded then there far reaching implications.
