摘要: One of the major reasons for terminating a clinical trial is liver toxicity induced by chemotherapy. Tamoxifen (TAM) an anti-estrogen used in treatment and prevention hormone-dependent breast cancer. therapy may cause hepatic injury. The seeds Nigella sativa, which contain active ingredient thymoquinone (TQ), have been folk medicine diverse ailments. TQ reported to possess anticancer hepatoprotective effects. In this study, protective effects against TAM-induced hepatotoxicity female rats were evaluated. Four groups used: control; TAM; TQ; TAM+TQ. TAM (45 mg·(kg body mass)–1·day–1, intraperitoneal injection (i.p.), 10 consecutive days) resulted elevated serum levels alanine aminotransferase, aspartate alkaline phosphatase, lactate dehydrogenase, total bilirubin, gamma glutamyl transferase, as well depletion reduced glutathione accumulation lipid peroxides. Also, trea...
