摘要: Study design Retrospective study on the incidence of reoperation in patients previously treated by instrumented posterior lumbar interbody fusion. Objectives To answer following questions: Reoperation rate after PLIF? And is there any influence length fusion rate? Summary background data The use different techniques demonstrates that currently no ideal procedure for (PLIF) shows a comparable success to so-called 360 degrees (combined dorsoventral spondylodesis) without need an anterior approach. Methods We reviewed 1680 who underwent PLIF at our institution between January 1995 and December 2000. A total 3053 levels were fused. was analyzed. mean follow-up 5 years. Results There 221 (13.2%) reoperations 206 (12.2%). Of PLIFs, 312 multisegmental (>2 segments). Within this group, 45 (14.4%) revisions done. found most important difference PLIFs mono- or bisegmental adjacent segment decompensation (5.1% vs. 2.3%), statistically significant. those two groups only slightly with 12.9% 14.4% PLIFs. Conclusions does not show significant as such. Nevertheless, we registered significantly higher segments
