摘要: The study of animal behaviour contributes to our understanding how individuals or populations live and survive. To this purpose researchers often manipulate, in a broad sense, wild animals sensitive periods, such as breeding, when are accessible/available. Few studies, however, show the impact these manipulations on survival individuals. In we measured short- long-term impacts experimental small colony blue petrels at Kerguelen archipelago where behavioural studies have been performed since 2006. We developed two models measure potential manipulation: (1) new multievent model that allowed us account for different severity classes manipulation independently (2) consider cumulative over several years manipulations. found no evidence negatively affected breeding probabilities either short long term. Conversely, similarly other capture–recapture petrels, was shown be dependent birds' experience (birds probably bred first time versus birds had already times before) probability year, possibly because environmental conditions.
