摘要: Knowledge of species richness and distribution African biodiversity comes primarily from fauna studies, despite the tremendous flora. The genus Euphorbia (Euphorbiaceae) is one most diverse plant genera, shows a great diversity across Africa. This largest endemic radiation in Angola, including 82 native with large life forms (e.g. herbs, shrubs trees, several succulent species) 61% which are endemics. Considering species, habitats climatic conditions this study aims to: (i) update inventory country; (ii) investigate these Koppen–Geiger regions, WWF ecoregions, within protected areas network; (iii) use new findings to devise future conservation programs protect Angola’s high diversity. Our results revealed that there 49 (54 taxa) occur extensive Miombo woodlands, although some restricted arid zones southern Angola. representation endemics was low, Iona National Park Partial Reserve Namibe showing best potential for protection. Centres endemism were found Serra da Chela (Huila province) Angolan Kaokoveld Desert (Namibe must be considered importance. A re-evaluation network might required facilitate promote effective unique country.
