摘要: In this invited review in honor of 100 years since the Stern-Gerlach (SG) experiments, we describe a decade SG interferometry on atom chip. The effect has been paradigm quantum mechanics throughout last century, but there surprisingly little evidence that original scheme, with freely propagating atoms exposed to gradients from macroscopic magnets, is fully coherent process. Specifically, no full-loop interferometer (SGI) realized scheme as envisioned decades ago. Furthermore, several theoretical studies have explained why it formidable challenge. Here provide our experiments over decade. We novel configurations such giving rise first spatial interference fringes, and SGI realization. These devices are based highly accurate magnetic fields, originating an chip, ensure operation within strict constraints described by previous analyses.
