摘要: Abstract The computation of long wave propagation through the ocean obviously depends on initial condition. When waves are generated by a moving bottom, traditional approach consists in translating ‘frozen’ sea bed deformation to free surface and propagating it. present study shows differences between classical (passive generation) active generation where bottom motion is included. analytical solutions presented here exhibit some drawbacks passive generation. linearized seem be sufficient consider water bottom.
