摘要: Patients in the acute care units (ACU) are usually critically ill, making them more susceptible to unfavorable atmosphere hospital. One of these factors is sleep disruption and deprivation. Many may affect ACU, including therapeutic interventions, diagnostic procedures, medications, underlying disease process, noise generated ACU environment. detrimental physiological effects can occur secondary deprivation, cardiovascular stimulation, increased gastric secretion, pituitary adrenal suppression immune system wound healing, possible contribution delirium. Over past few years, many studies have endeavored objectively assess ACUs, as well effect mechanical ventilation circadian rhythm changes ill patients. At this time, therefore, it important review published data regarding order improve knowledge recognition problem by health professionals. We therefore reviewed methods used that environment, clinical implications ACU.
