Variation assessed by comparing caecal-intubation polyp-detection rates present with those collected five-years before; statistical analysis restricted to centres participating both collections. Results 6158 from 116 evaluated; unadjusted rate 83.0%, 21.6% reporting value >90%; mean 32.0% (range 9.6–71.2% across centres). To assess variation indicators, 4452 procedures 77 compared 3589 before, the same centres. significant difference between two rounds collections observed for (82.6% versus 80.9%, p = 0.043) (31.3% 28.1%, p = 0.002).
