摘要: Large computer networks such as corporate intranets and the Internet are inherently heterogeneous due to factors increasingly rapid technological change, engineering trade-offs, accumulation of legacy systems over time, varying system costs. Unfortunately, heterogeneity makes development maintenance applications that make best use difficult. The Common Object Request Broker Architecture specification created by Management Group provides a stable model for distributed object-oriented helps developers cope with inevitable change. Applications written CORBA standard abstracted away from underlying networking protocols transports, instead relying on object request brokers provide fast flexible communication activation substrated. abstractions provided ORBs currently serving basis in wide variety problem domains, including telecommunications, finance, medicine, manufacturing, running platforms ranging mainframes down test measurement equipment. This article first an overview Architecture, then describes detail component architecture, concludes description OMG organization along some its current future work.
