摘要: Compositions of matter are provided that include chitosan and a modified carbohydrate. The carbohydrate includes component cross linking agent. has increased carboxyl content as compared to an unmodified counterpart A group the is covalently bonded with amino chitosan. compositions herein may linked starch citrate-chitosan hemicellulose citrate-chitosan, including foams thereof. These yield excellent absorbency metal chelation properties. Methods making carbohydrate-chitosan compounds also provided.
