摘要: Using light and electron microscopy analysis, as well diffraction, energy-dispersive x-ray an aliquot of UICC chrysotile B was analyzed with special attention given to any tremolite contamination. Polarized microscopy, its limit detection approximately 1 micron when using dispersion staining, revealed the only fibrous asbestos component. Analytical at 333,000x more than 20,000 consecutive fibers showed tubular morphology characteristic chrysotile. These findings highlight that this sample used for exposure disease induced in animal models correlates chrysotile-induced pathology, does not support explanation based on "amphibole hypothesis." Thus, should be considered having biologic ability produce cancers, including mesotheliomas, extensive use material a standard reference material.
