摘要: The neutron probe has proven to be an effective means for monitoring long term in situ soil moisture variations. However, it is difficult experimentally correlate data (i.e., counts) with accurate estimates of absolute content, particularly unsaturated clay soils. In this paper, a numerical model based on multigroup diffusion theory employed predict the distribution flux system. discretizes energy spectrum into seven intervals, energy-dependent coefficients and parameters each interval. finite element method solve coupled seven-group equations. It demonstrated that results compare very well both laboratory experimental field measurements. theoretical approach calibration described herein offers significant time cost savings over traditional methods, potentially opens up new applications monitoring.
