摘要: The "Starfish" project is a long term program of applied research that attempts to provide sufficiently rigorous working method and comprehensive data base so rational system may gradually be developed for reliably predicting the shrinkage dimensional properties finished, knitted cotton fabrics. This intro ductory report presents general outline philosophy project, sum marizes some main areas progress after first five years, subsequent publications detailed results seen in context.
